Additional Resource Provision
The Additional Resource Provision (ARP) at Dagenham Park offers small group learning for pupils with moderate to severe learning difficulties (MLD/SLD). Pupils in the ARP require a higher level of adult support for their learning and personal care, safety and wellbeing. The Teaching and Support staff are trained and experienced in supporting pupils with Cognition and Learning needs.
Dagenham Park ARP is not suitable for pupils who have autism spectrum condition (ASC/ASD) as their primary area of need, nor behaviour as their primary area of need. Pupils attending the ARP have been allocated a place by the Local Authority and are supported by an Education and Health Care Plan (EHCP).
Curriculum:
As per the SEND Code of Practice Section 6.1 all children and young people are entitled to an education that enables them to make progress. The ARP curriculum is designed to accommodate the needs of our pupils and aims to develop academic, social and life skills.
